Corky’s BBQ – Design Case Study
Corky’s BBQ is known for its delicious, Memphis-style BBQ and homestyle cooking. In 2019, Corky’s wanted to enter the Houston market with their very first location in Katy, Texas.
When they wanted to expand to Katy, they had a lot on their plate. Not only did they need to compete with Texas BBQ, but they also needed to establish themselves as a prime player in a highly-saturated restaurant scene.
In an effort to differentiate Corky’s BBQ from competitors and bring awareness to their new Texas location, we took it upon ourselves to create custom assets that were a reflection of the new location. From social media to traditional media, we set out with the objective to cater to a different audience while staying true to the client’s brand.
Corky’s BBQ was an established brand but new to the Houston market. With the opening of their Katy location, we needed to get customers who were used to Texas-style BBQ excited about Memphis-style BBQ. We sought to create content that was true to the Corky’s brand but appealed to a new market.
The end results were visually stunning. Our creative team crafted a plethora of original assets to bolster their brand including a new menu design, in-store signage, direct mailers and door hangers, radio spots, social media posts and ads, YouTube video ads, and PPC marketing materials. In the end, we were able to successfully reach local audiences while still maintaining the brand’s signature look and feel.
